Race Ace (Green)

A limited edition graphic art print featuring G-ACSR, one of three de Havilland DH.88 Comets developed specifically to participate in the 1934 England-Australia MacRobertson Air Race from the United Kingdom to Australia.

G-ACSR, flown by Ken Waller and Owen Cathcart Jones, was the fourth aircraft to reach Melbourne, in a time of 108 h 13 min 45 s. Cathcart Jones and Waller promptly collected film of the Australian stages of the race and set off the next day to carry it back to Britain. Their return time of 13½ days set a new record.

Where possible we try to dispatch all our prints within 10 days of receiving the order. Prints to the UK are sent in tubes via Special Delivery and where possible overseas orders are escorted by a squadron of P51's for thier own safety.
