Steady your goggles and tighten your flying scarf—it’s time for a death-defying dive into the skies of yesteryear, where danger danced with derring-do and moustaches bristled against the wind.

In this rip-roaring tableau from the annals of Montague Watersby’s Flying Circus (Retired, but still reciting Shakespeare at altitude), a pink-nosed scout flings itself skyward in a bold ballet of loops and luck. Hot on its tail? None other than a crimson Fokker, full of menace and misplaced confidence.

But today is not the day.
